How the Handoff Works Today

Tow Deputy is the front door: it picks up every inbound call in under two seconds, runs a towing-specific intake, quotes your exact price from your own rate card, and can collect a deposit by secure SMS payment link. The moment the call ends, the finished job lands in two places — a text message to you or your on-call driver, and your Tow Deputy dashboard.

From there, you create the job in whatever software you dispatch out of. There is no live sync, no webhook, and no automatic job creation in Towbook, Omadi, or any other platform today. We'd rather say that plainly than sell you a connection that doesn't exist.

What changes isn't the typing — it's what you're typing. You're transcribing a job that has already been answered, qualified, priced, and often paid for, instead of interviewing a stranger on a shoulder of I-40 while trying to quote a price from memory.

It doesn't matter. Because the handoff is SMS and dashboard rather than an API connection, Tow Deputy works the same way regardless of what you dispatch out of — Towbook, Omadi, a whiteboard, a spiral notebook, or a system you built yourself. Nothing about your current setup has to change for Tow Deputy to start answering calls.

A native integration — where a completed AI call creates the job in your dispatch software automatically, with no manual entry — is what we're building toward. It is not available yet for any platform. When it ships, it ships here first, and the pages above will be updated the day it does.
